Prayer for yourself:  Gracious Father, take me into more of Christ today. 

I ask that your Son, the Living Word, would open up the written Word of the Scriptures and cause my heart to burn within me as it fills me with the purposes and promises that are fulfilled in him! 

Jesus said that all you have now belongs to him. So, I invite the Holy Spirit to take all that is included in the reign of Jesus and make it known to me by how the Spirit illuminates your Word to show me more of the glories and wonders of Christ. 

I don’t just want to read about your Son in your Word, Father. Rather, I want to encounter the one who is both the author and the subject and the reason of your Word—who himself is called the Word of Life!
